Conservation Commission Gives Holyoke Gas and Electric Company the Green Light

HG&E Gets Signature of  Approval

   December 21, 2007--The riverfront Park Holyoke Gas and Electric is preparing to create in South Hadley per requisite of the utility's federal licensure was given the go-ahead yesterday in municipal considerations.   At the last appearance in South Hadley city deliberations in November, HG&E had not provided evidence of approval from The National Heritage Foundation as required by the South Hadley Conservation Commission acting to enforce a Massachusetts State requirement.  Although the process has been drawn-out the South Hadley commission has now approved the power-companies planned park.
